Chromagen Solar
Water HeatersChromagen is a Global Leader in the solar water industry. Founded in 1962, they have designed and manufactured a method of solar energy absorption, transfer and storage so advanced and effective, that they can boast of having over a million satisfied customers in over 40 countries around the world.
Now
in AustraliaChromagen Solar Australia Pty Ltd is 100% Australian owned and their staff are dedicated experts in the solar energy field. They are committed to providing their customers with high quality products and after-sales service.
Chromagen regard quality as being critical to their success. Chromagen is an ISO 9001 quality endorsed company and their wide range of solar hot water system comply with a multitude of international Quality Standards as well as Australian Standard AS2712. Therefore they can offer their customers peace-of -mind warranties ranging between 7 to 12 years..
Chromagen products are so efficient they attract the highest government incentives designed to encourage Australians to change the way they heat their water - by going solar.
What this means for you is that, in effect, the government is indirectly paying for the solar components and all you have to pay is roughly the same as you would for an electric or gas guzzling conventional water heater.
The government want you to switch to solar for environmental reasons. The big benefit for you is that you also enjoy ongoing savings of hundreds of dollars a year compared with the costs of installing and running an old technology water heater, especially\y electric hot water systems. Solar is the way to go.
Chromagen
Hot Water TanksChromagen's wide selection of hot water tanks are technologically advanced for maximum efficiency, durability and safety. They come in a range of sizes from 80 to 300 litres ensuring a plentiful supply of piping hot water for the whole family.
Horizontal on-roof locations, or vertical ground mounted solutions are available to satisfy your particular needs and conditions.
Sacrificial Anode for Superior protection against corrosion
Built-in Thermostat for convenience and safety
External Coating Available in attractive stainless steel or baked polyester to provide extreme durability in the harshest of conditions.
Polyurethane Insulation Maximises heat retention and minimises heat loss for superior efficiency
Storage Tank Manufactured in 3mm mild steel for maximum strength in mains pressure situations. Protects against high-ensile stress corrosion
Internal Glass-Enamel coating Protects against corrosion
Energy Efficient Electric Element An alternative source of energy for cloudy days ensures consistent supply of hot water 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
At last someone got it right - instant, never ending hot water 24 hours a day, 12 months of the year, whenever you turn on the tap. That's the promise Chromagen provide you with their new T series rang of gas water heaters.
21st
Century TechnologyChromagen's T series range of continuous flow gas water heaters are able to provide enough temperature controlled hot water to service up to three bathrooms. Whether operated through a Chromagen mixing valve, or matched with an optional digital control touch pad. Once set, your hot water remains at a constant temperature with no need for mixing cold water. This means both convenience and safety for your family, particularly for young children and the elderly.
The new Chromagen T series has an energy efficiency rating in excess of five stars, and only used purchased energy when required, as it only heats the water when you need it. This adds up to substantial savings when compared to those old money guzzling storage systems which have a pilot light. No more money going up in flames. Whit the Chromagen touch pad option, you can control the water temperature and subsequently control your savings and reduce your gas bill.
Chromagen is the global leader in the field of solar water heating . So naturally, the new Chromagen T series has been designed to be integrated with the entire range of technologically advance solar systems.
The new Chromagen T series can be utilised with most mains pressure solar water heaters available on the market today. However, when combined with a Chromagen solar water heater they really shine, with savings of up to 90% or more on your gas hot water bills.
The compact new Chromagen T series is provided with full flame protection for total peace of mid. Plus, with the ingenious temperature sensing technology, the Chromagen T series is able to protect itself from damage in frost prone areas.
In
satisfying the most rigid requirements of European markets, there are simply no
better collectors available than Chromagen's solar collectors. They offer the
most advanced technology and superior design ensuring maximum sun absorption and
efficiency that outperforms competing collectors. Quality materials and unique
manufacturing techniques ensure a durable product that will pay for itself many
times over.
The wide range of solar collectors allow tailored cost-effective hot water solutions for a wide variety of locations and climatic conditions. From Tasmania to the Top End, Australia is covered. The aesthetic designs, engineered for strength and optimal performance, ensure maximum benefits from the Chromagen solar system of your choice.
Absorber Plate Copper fins ultrasonically welded to copper risers provide excellent heat transfer and a very high absorption rate of 95% for higher efficiency and durability.
Absorber Plate Coating Available in blue sputtering, black chrome, or selective solar paint. All provide a superior surface designed for excellent energy absorption evening in cooler climates.
Solar Glass Glazing 3.2nd thick The solar glass is patterned to reduce reflection and maximise solar transmittance. It is tempered to maximise strength and durability in severe weather conditions like hail storms.
Extrusion Casing
Aluminium Light weight with solid construction., Available in aesthetically pleasing colours
Stainless Steel For maximum protection in corrosive locations like coastal areas with high salt content in the air.
Baked Enamel Finish Inexpensive yet durable in less harsh locations. Available in aesthetically pleasing colours
Thermosiphon
Systems call on mother nature to circulate water through the solar collectors to
the storage tank using the Thermosiphon principal that hot water naturally
rises. Hence, eliminating the need for circulating pumps or other moving parts.
Chromagen's thermosiphon systems are the most straightforward, economically
viable and energy efficient designs available. A gas or electric backup booster
provides energy during cloudy whether, so you can have plenty of hot water when
you need it.

The thermosiphon system includes

Tank sizes vary from 80 to 300 litres, so there is a size to suit your particular needs.
Depending on your location and climate you may choose an Open-Loop or Closed-Loop system:
Closed loop systems utilise a heat exchanger to heat the potable water indirectly from the sun. They are particularly useful in frost prone areas and areas with poor water quality.
In open loop systems the potable water circulates through the solar collectors and si heated directly by the sun. These systems are suitable for climates that are mostly frost-free and have good water quality.
In
force circulation systems the storage tank is usually separated form the solar
collectors, with the tank located at ground level and the collectors on the
roof. Consequently, a circulating pump and solar controller are utilised to
ensure correct water circulation. Like thermosiphon systems the forced
circulation system is also available in open-loop and closed-loop
configurations, so there is a Chromagen solar hot water system that suitable for
your particular needs.
A pump and control unit are utilized to ensure correct water circulation. This allows the collectors to be situated away from the tank. For example, the tank may be situated in a basement while the collectors remain on the roof.
Chromagen has developed a unique solution for apartment housed to ensure hot water around the clock. Each apartment has an individual tank with all the tanks connected to a central collector cluster. A pump ensures continuous water circulation of hot water to each apartment.
