Solar Pumps

It may not always be cost effective or convenient to provide a permanent power supply to an area where you require to use a pump. We can therefore supply a range of Solar Operated Pumps.

It’s a well known fact that water pumping is electrically very inefficient. One of the main reasons for this Is that domestic water pumps are often as low as 60% efficient, this coupled with long daily running times will place a huge burden on a property’s electrical supply.

It makes sense then to utilise solar power for water pumping. Generally speaking water is required when the sun is shining.

When the sun shines, solar panels produce power and water is pumped.

A simple approach that works day in day out 365 days of the year.

Solar Operated Submersible Pump System

A submersible solar pump is directly powered by solar panels, thus requiring no batteries. When the sun shines, the variable speed DC brushless pump will start pumping and continue pumping until there is insufficient sun. As an option the solar panels can be mounted on a mechanical sun tracking system that will provide maximum output from the solar panels.

It is possible to pump water for up to 14 hours per day in summer using the optional suntracker.

Water can be pumped from as deep as 240meters. Systems can be configured to suit your daily water needs and lift requirements.

The Badu Top pump is ideally suited to all water circulation applications, including swimming pools, which means all parts used are perfectly compatible with chlorinated or salt water. The motor used is a DC brushless type achieving an outstanding overall efficiency of 92%, the high efficiency means less wasted energy. As the motor is brushless, you can expect years of maintenance free operation.

The Badu Top is perfectly suited to homes utilising alternative energy, and can also be used with an optional power supply for considerable power savings in suburban homes.

The Badu Top will cost you more than an ordinary 240 volt pool pump but will save you considerable money for the supporting solar panels and batteries or electricity savings. Based on a 8hr daily run time in a solar battery system, the Badu Top can save up to 5kwh per day.
